GLUT - an herbal walk

Corinna J. Duschl

To mark the summer solstice in 2025, Corinna J. Duschl invites visitors to take part in an herbal walk around the sculpture park at Museum Morsbroich. The walk opens up a space to learn about the plants that surround Museum Morsbroich. At the same time, it questions narrations about “witches” – stories that functioned an instrument of power that was used to control, stigmatize, and destroy people whose existence, knowledge, or self-determination was seen as a threat.
The tour highlights the connection between plant knowledge, spirituality, and the history of witch hunts - but also how this knowledge continues to have an impact today and is being reappropriated. This knowledge will be given a new visibility during the tour - not as romantic folklore, but as lived resistance, as a practice of remembrance, and as collective healing work.
